Jack Taylor: Executive Director. Jack is the Head Baseball
Coach at Boulder High School. Taylor is in his second year as a
physical education teacher and Varsity baseball coach. Before returning
to Boulder High School (his alma mater), he spent ten years in Chicago
attending DePaul University, coaching youth baseball, and teaching
in the Chicago Public School system. Jack’s success include building
a successful baseball program at the University of Chicago High
School where, in his four years as Head Coach, he won four Independent
School League Championships and was voted ISL Coach of the Year
in 1998 after finishing 20-3. Other successes include the Illinois
Sixteen-Year-Old Babe Ruth State Championship as well as 5th and
7th placements in the RBI Eighteen-Year-Old World Championship in
Orlando, Florida. Jacks overall varsity record in five seasons:
60-36.
Eric Harman: Born in Boulder, Eric is a former North Boulder
Little Leaguer and Boulder High Panther. He has played competitive
fast-pitch softball in Boulder for over 20 years. Eric’s past coaching
experience includes stints supporting YMCA coach-pitch, North Boulder
Little League Minor League, North Boulder Little League (NBLL) Major
League. Most recently Eric was head coach of the Diamond Baseball
14-year-old Bison team. He also coached several corporate softball
teams. In addition to baseball experience, Eric has extensive wrestling
experience, having coached and run junior wrestling programs in
Lyons, Niwot, and Boulder. He is currently the president of the
BHS Wrestling Booster Club. Eric served on the NBLL Board for 4
years, and was responsible for tryouts and coaching clinics. He
has been on the Diamond Baseball of Boulder, Inc. Board since 1999.
Eric is one of the most active members supporting DBOB, Youth Baseball
of Boulder, with the primary intention of supporting the construction
of the baseball fields at the new Valmont City Park. He has, in
conjunction with NBLL, organized a player and parent clinic to be
held for those planning on participating in the NBLL organization
this coming year. Eric is an engineering manager and part owner
of Veris (a flow measurement company in Niwot).
Linda Wilkinson: Treasurer. Linda Wilkinson is DBOB treasurer
and is volunteering her time to insure that baseball stays alive
in Boulder. She loves to watch the game and understands the importance
of team sports in a child's development. Linda is a registered
dental hygienist, working for North Boulder Dental Group, (Drs.
Murphy, Brown, and Sica) and Unilever Oral Care Products. She is
also president of the Boulder County Dental Hygienists' Society.
Her stepson, Tyler Wilkinson plays on the Bison 14 team.
Diane Amidei: Secretary. Diane Amidei is a native Boulderite,
previous Panther, and an avid fan of her son, Chris, Junior at BHS.
Diane enjoys going to all of the BHS and Legion games and when was
a team mom when her son played for the Bison teams. Diane is our
newest board member and already she has been a huge help to the
Diamond Baseball organization.
Win Cady: Win is a board member for Youth Baseball of Boulder
(YBOB) representing a consortium of baseball and softball organizations
for the purpose of partnering with the City of Boulder to develop
6 lighted ball fields at the new Valmont City Park. He coached
the 2001 14-year-old Bison team and he has coached for the past
3 years in the Boulder Valley Girls Softball Association. Win’s
son, Dustin, is a freshman at Boulder High School and his daughter,
Kelsie, is in 7th grade at Centennial Middle School.
Craig Ansbaugh: Craig moved to Boulder in 1980 and he has
worked as a veterinarian at Boulder Veterinary Hospital since his
arrival. He has been co-owner of the practice since 1982. He and
his wife, Patrice, a pediatric nurse, have two children. Nathan
is a freshman at Boulder High and plays football, basketball, and
baseball. Katy is in 7th grade at Centennial Middle School and
plays soccer and basketball.l.
Mark Matlin: Mark is an active board member who grew up
watching the great Dodger teams of the early sixties. He has two
sons playing baseball, Alex, who plays in the North Boulder Little
League and Sam, a sophomore at BHS.
Phil Swan: Phil Swan has been involved in youth baseball
for 8 years as a coach and he served as Vice President of North
Boulder Little League for 4 years. In addition to coaching NBLL
majors for 6 years and 4 All Star stints, Phil coached the 14-year-old
Bison with Tim Kupfner during the 2000 season and will be coaching
the 13-year-old Bison for the 2002 season. His son, Benny, played
Bison ball, and now plays for BHS. His younger son, Andy, will
play for the 13 year old Bison this season. Phil has been married
26 years to Jackie, a schoolteacher, and he is the President/Broker
of Four Star Realty & Property Management, Inc. He has been
a Boulder resident since 1975 and grew up in St. Louis, home of
the Cardinals and the best baseball fans in America.
Chris Takeuchi: Chris is a senior, Astrophysics Major,
at the University of Colorado. He is a 1997 graduate of Boulder
High School and is currently the head coach of the BHS Sophomore
team. He was last years’ Legion C head coach.
Tom Miller: Tom is in his 16th season as a baseball
coach. He was the head coach of our 1998 Legion C Colorado State
Championship team! He is the Boulder High School JV head coach
in his 6th season supporting Boulder High School. He is a father
of five; Tony at 13 is the youngest.
Bob Kauflin: Bob was one of the original six coaches in
the Centaurus Little League in 1985. He coached his oldest son,
Chris, though middle school. At Boulder High School Chris was a
3-year varsity starter. Bob coached his youngest son, Dusty, for
6 years, 3 of which were in the North Boulder Little League Major
Division. Bob currently helps with the 14 year old Bison team.
Bob is very active in assisting with Iris Field maintenance; so
if you know of projects that need attention, give him a call. Bob
is a very active member of the DBOB and he and his wife invested
a great deal of time in making our Invesco Field concession fundraising
a success. Bob was last years’ single largest fundraiser!
Dan Wilkinson: Dan is the webmaster for Diamond Baseball.
He is a physicist with NOAA and has two sons playing baseball in
north Boulder. Stuart, age 12, is playing with the NBLL Cardinals.
Tyler, age 14, plays for the 14 year old Bison team. Both boys are
at Casey Middle School, and Tyler will attend Boulder High next
year
